Pinterest Test - Sore Throat

The other night I got thru my workout and afterwards felt crummy.  Usually I'm energized and feeling good! I chalked it up to being tired. When I got home I noticed my throat started that dry/scratchy feeling and immediately started thinking of all the things I have to do in the next couple of days and anxiety set in.  It's never convenient for a mom to get sick plus being sick just sucks period.  Luckily I have a hubby who steps in when needed.  Such a good guy! I made myself my Hot Toddy Recipe which let me sleep the night.  When I got up the next morning I had a doozy of a sore throat.  I remembered I pinned a drink recipe to feel better from a sore throat so I made that for myself and documented how it did.  In other words I put this pin to a test! Here is my test:

Save Money and Cut Hair at Home!

In this economy you have to cut corners where you can...let's be honest.  So my girls and I go to the beauty school to get our hair cut for $5! My oldest daughter loves it and I love it.  I have never had a bad haircut.  There are instructors there that supervise pretty closely and are always checking up on the progress of the cut.  I have naturally curly hair so a lot of time that is when the instructor will take the time to show the student how to cut curly hair! I don't mind at all! My youngest daughter says she had a bad haircut so she will only let me cut her hair.  She has straight hair so it's pretty easy! The only reason she  didn't like her haircut is because the lady cut too much length off when she asked for a trim.  So hence momma cuts her hair now.  Here is the video I made cutting her hair to show just how easy it is! Kabuki's Lemon Drop Review!

Anytime I visit a restaurant I have to try their Lemon Drop.  I am a self proclaimed connoisseur of Lemon Drops.  I love them so much...if they are made properly.  I even have my own recipe for an XL Lemon Drop and you can see it here.  I recently turned 29...ok ok 39 geez...and my family took me to Kabuki's where they cook in front of you! I loved it and have never been to that kind of place before.  I ordered their lemon drop of course because it was my birthday and haven't tried theirs before.  It was brought out to me and I took a swig straight away and promptly gagged! They had accidentally rimmed the glass with salt instead of sugar! It seriously gagged me.  I couldn't even taste the drink the salt was so gross! My husband thought I was being too snobby but when I could finally talk I said "They put salt on my glass!" They took it away and brought me another one with sugar on the rim.  I had stopped gagging and downed a glass of water by this time.  The 2nd lemon drop was amazing! There was bits from the freshly squeezed lemon in the drink (some bartenders use lemonade) and there was that perfect balance of sweet and tangy I love.  Seriously so good.  I give Kabuki's Lemon Drop a big thumbs up!
